ACTIVITIES
During a ‘normal’ year……… The Society will offer members 8 or 9 demonstration evenings, between September and July. These can be demonstrations by professional artists showing how they produce their work, they can be speakers on art based subjects supported by examples of their work, or they could be speakers on subjects that the Committee feel might be of interest to a cross section of the members. The Society will hold two exhibitions of members’ work using up-to-date exhibition stands. These are usually in May and December ( this depends on venue availability ). The Society will offer regular painting groups where members can get together and work in sociable conditions, gaining the benefit of advice and support when required. There is an extra cost for these to meet the room hire etc. Fees are modest and payable by the term. The Society will aim to provide workshops led by skilled artists either locally or at the artist’s studios. The Society will aim to offer ‘painting out’ opportunities for those who wish to paint from nature in company with other members. The Society website provides a gallery to enable each member to exhibit an item of their work on a regular basis. and once a year in December The Society offers members a Christmas Social get together.
The Society has a Facebook Group to keep in touch with members. This is open to all members. You can find out more and ask to join the Facebook group by linking here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/4864962060196912/
