THE SOCIETY WELCOMES THE SUPPORT OF MEMBERS IN RUNNING EVENTS AND WELCOMES VOLUNTEERS ON TO THE COMMITTEE. THIS VIBRANT AND ACTIVE SOCIETY IS ALSO LOOKING FOR NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO KEEP THE SOCIETY FLOURISHING. Our Treasurer and our Chair are retiring and we are also in need of a Secretary and members with IT skills to operate the technology we use for demonstrations and workshops. If you have an interest in making art and think you may also have the abilities to help us, please get in touch. Past Chairman, Peter Weatherill writes: This is a successful and thriving Society, but as with most organisations today, people are slow at coming forward to take on committee responsibility and the current officers cannot continue to hold the fort. In an ideal world, officers would change every one or two years and a pool of skills would build and be available to keep the Society going. Winslow needs its Art Society to enhance the range of activities the local population enjoy, but without a committee and officers, it cannot exist.
