WINSLOW AND DISTRICT ART SOCIETY PROGRAMME 2024 -25 Unless otherwise stated, all demonstration meetings commence at 7-30 pm All these meetings take place at the Winslow Bowls Club at Enfield Gate, Winslow unless stated ( the free car park adjoins the Bowls Club ) The Society takes a break from formal meetings during July and August The Society year commences in September These are event dates coming up Thursday 27th March 2025 Demonstration by Susan Gray Acrylic Landscapes / Seascapes Thursday 24th April 2025 Alexandra Buckle Printmaking SPRING EXHIBITION WINSLOW PUBLIC HALL Saturday May 24th and Sunday May 25th Thursday 29th May 2025 Watercolour Demonstration by Ian Macmanus Thursday 26th June 2025 Presentation by Jackmans Art Materials ‘How Watercolour Paints are made’ Thursday September 25th WADAS AGM Speaker to be confirmed ALSO, coming up…. In addition This Summer there will be another Plein Air day at Kingsbrook Gardens and also, hopefully, at Jane Rennie’s garden in Winslow details will be given to members nearer the time NOTE All demonstration meetings commence at 7-30pm unless shown To register an interest in any of the Plein Air sessions or listed workshops, please contact Cheryl 07855933889 or Jackie 07801366390
PAINTING GROUPS The two painting groups provide members with the opportunity of working together and assisting new artists. These groups are financed separately with a modest charge per term to cover the rent of room space. There are three terms a year and the fees are usually around £3 a week for a term of 10 or 12 sessions. We like to give everyone space to work, and this means that, at times, the groups will be full and there will be a waiting list. We do try to accommodate everyone who is keen to attend, as soon as possible. These group sessions are very valuable, as they give newcomers to art a chance to learn from fellow members in a sociable environment. Most portable media can be accommodated.
PAINTING GROUPS We currently have two weekly painting groups - on a Tuesday and a Thursday morning. These are in Winslow at the Bowls Club House, and at the Village Hall in Padbury
